Located at No. 601, Section 2, Guanghua Avenue, Qingyang District, the Chengdu Intangible Cultural Heritage Park (Sichuan Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, 成都非遗博览园) is China’s only park dedicated to intangible cultural heritage. It serves as a bridge for showcasing the rich, original forms of cultural traditions passed down through history while integrating culture, tourism, and global interactions. Getting There

  • By Metro: Take Metro Line 4 directly to the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park” station.
  • By Car: You can also navigate directly to the park with your GPS. There is a paid parking lot available on-site.

The park frequently hosts international events celebrating intangible cultural heritage, making it an exciting destination year-round. Admission is free for regular visits, and it is open during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 08:30 AM – 06:30 PM

B Pavilion: Start your visit by heading straight to Pavilion B, where you will find an array of cultural relics and handcrafted items that represent China’s intangible heritage. Among the highlights are exquisite replicas of Russian nesting dolls and a majestic phoenix crown. Though replicas, the craftsmanship on display is impressive, offering a glimpse into the artistry behind these cultural symbols.

A Pavilion – Traditional Craft Street: Next, explore the A Pavilion, where you can witness traditional craftsmanship up close. Here, artisans display their work in pottery, shadow puppetry, leather goods, and woodworking. While visitors can’t take classes on the spot, it’s still an amazing opportunity to see traditional techniques in action.

Ancient Street “Anzhili”: Step into the charming “Anzhili” Old Street, which offers a variety of small shops selling local snacks, hotpot ingredients, and specialty handmade products. You’ll also find several heritage-themed courtyards, perfect for getting a taste of Sichuan’s local culture. It’s a great place to enjoy a casual stroll and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere.

Fingertip Workshop: Inside Anzhili, there’s the “Fingertip Workshop,” where visitors can try their hands at creating traditional items like sun hats, succulent plant displays, and leather goods. There’s also the opportunity to engage in woodworking, clay sculpture, and pottery-making, offering a hands-on experience of intangible heritage culture.

Animal Interaction at “Deer Forest Giraffe Manor”: At the end of Anzhili Old Street, you’ll find the “Deer Forest Giraffe Manor,” where you can interact with a variety of animals, including alpacas, goats, ponies, crocodiles, giraffes, and zebras. This part of the park is especially fun for families with kids. There’s even a platform beside the giraffes where you can take amazing photos. For the adventurous, you can also try fishing for small crocodiles or petting a golden snake. Tickets are priced at ¥59.9 (or ¥29.9 if booked two hours in advance via TikTok).

Outdoor Leisure Area: After exploring the old street, the park opens up into vast outdoor spaces featuring green lawns, forests, and small rivers. You can bring your own picnic and set up a tent under the shade of large trees, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing day with friends and family. Whether you’re seeking a quiet moment in nature or enjoying some leisure time with loved ones, this area offers plenty of space to unwind.

Children’s Amusement Park: The park also has a children’s amusement area, where you can buy an all-day ticket for ¥68 and enjoy various attractions suitable for younger visitors.
